What It Is: Sci-fi tale about a trip to the earth's core, sans any primeval jungles or dinosaurs.Why I Watched It: I was in the mood for pretty visuals.
What I Thought: It delivered on the visuals, but that's about it.
The whole movie was pretty mediocre. Mediocre plot, mediocre performances, and a mostly mediocre cast. Save for Delroy Lindo. I fucking love that guy!
The Core is certainly pretty, but that's really about it.
Highlights: The idea of using WMDs to save the world, Delroy Lindo, Aaron Eckhart, a cheesy fun hacker part, and pretty effects.
Who Should See It: I'd suggest it only to hard core sci-fi fans.
How Soon: Take your time. It's not getting any better and it probably won't get any worse.
